4th March 2023
This week was full of activities in Year 5.
Mathematics Projects were due and so the children brought their work to display and present. The projects included 3D models of bungalows, designs of a zoo, a robot and designs of children’s dream houses. All projects included calculations of area and perimeter.
The children enjoyed presenting their work to peers and parents.
During World Book Day we researched the history of the kanga and thought of the many ways a kanga can be used- from a towel to a turban or even a fishing net. The children came to school wearing kanga in various styles and enjoyed a meeting with a book author, why not ask your child about it at home?
Last but not least, it was the Year 5 Ancient Greece Assembly this week. I am very proud of all Year 5 students, who worked very hard, from brainstorming ideas for the script to memorising their lines and finally performing for the audience. We were also very lucky to see so many parents during the assembly, it boosted the children’s confidence and provided extra inspiration during the performance.
Well done Year 5, both students and parents!
