Overview

Braeburn Dar es Salaam International School welcomes children from all backgrounds between the ages of 2 to 11 years in the primary section and from 12 to 18 years in our secondary school section. Our students sit for the Cambridge University IGCSE examinations in May of year 11 at the age of 15/16. They then study for A level or BTEC qualifications in years 12 and 13. These qualifications are recognised across the world and prepare our students to attend universities across the world.

Our academic year begins in August and students may join BDIS at any time of the year. The first step in the admission process is for you and your family to visit us for a tour of the school, or, if you are out of the country, we suggest you contact the head teacher for an initial discussion.

Following your meeting or discussion with the head teacher, should you wish to reserve a place for your child, you will need to complete the application form and forward this to the school together with the non-refundable registration fee.  An offer of a place will then be made by the school in writing, specifying the agreed start date.

Details of our admissions policy and term dates can be found in the drop down menus.  Our fee structure is available on demand.

Admissions process

Before starting the admissions process we recommend you visit the school for a tour, or have an informal chat with the headteacher if you are out of the country. Final admission is subject to interview with the headteacher.

Upon successful completion of the admissions process you will receive a letter from the headteacher confirming the placement and the start date.
