Year 6

“A good heart is better than all the heads in the world.” Edward Lytton

Our Year 6 students have been very busy in their Science learning about the anatomy of the heart as well as its role in blood circulation. They recognise that the heart is a vital organ, responsible for continuously pumping one’s life blood around the body and our students have worked hard to learn the correct flow of blood through the heart. Through scientific diagrams and role play, our students have been working hard to explain the flow of blood to each other. Year 6 students also recognise the importance of keeping their heart healthy with physical exercise but they have also reflected on holistic health by setting realistic mental, social, and emotional health goals in PSHE lessons. Why not ask our Year 6s more about these aspects of their learning?
