Year 6 Transition

This week Year 6 joined us from the Primary school to experience a week in the life of their fellow Secondary students. They attended classes ranging from programming a computer game, understanding environmental issues, testing their powers of mental arithmetic and supporting our World Book Day activities. In Science, students experimented with combustion of different elements from the Periodic Table, performing dissections and realising the power of atmospheric pressure. The week culminated in a joint STEM project with Year 7 involving the construction and racing of rafts. Students also enjoyed mixing with all of the senior students during their break periods in the Secondary garden.
