Year 6 Meraki Trip

Year 6 had a memorable visit to the Meraki Workshop at the Slipway two weeks ago where they learned about this jewellery business and how Meraki upcycled old coins as well as recycled materials such as sea glass to create beautiful pieces of jewellery. They enjoyed making their morse code bracelets with hidden messages of their names or their favourite football player or superhero. They also watched a demonstration on how brass coin earrings are made and asked lots of interesting questions from Meraki’s founder and owner, Miss Susan.
