Year 6

25th February 2023

The class has had a great start to this second half of the term. This week we have wrapped up our mathematics lessons on algebra and I am pleased that the learners’ initial fear of algebra has been put to rest. Take a look at the photos of when some of the parents joined our class to see how we teach Maths. We are now moving on to decimals, percentages, area, perimeter and statistics.

In English we are exploring newspaper reports and information texts. The science lessons on light continue and the next few lessons will focus on experiments on refractions and formation of shadows. The History lessons are on 20th century conflicts: World War 2. We have had heated debates as to whether this war could have been avoided. Meanwhile, preparations for the Arusha Residential Trip scheduled for 23rd May this year are ongoing. Many thanks to all who have continued to support us.
