Year 5

We are fully back into the swing of things and Term 2 has been full of learning, questions, investigating and excitement already.
This week we had School Spirit Week and we managed to have a whole day of learning with no pens or pencils! In Maths we played equivalent fraction memory game and snap, in English we created freeze frames to show how characters are feelings, in Geography we used the tablets to research about the rivers in Ireland and in Science we explored geocentric and heliocentric models of the solar system.
On Thursday, we enjoyed reading with Year 1 and 2 and they loved listening to us read to them and reading back to us too and then of course on Friday we had crazy hair day which was so much fun!
We are looking forward to continuing our rehearsals for our production and putting together a fantastic show in Week 10. In the meantime, next week we will have our trip to the cinema and we are really enjoying our English topic of mystery stories.
