Year 4

23rd September 2023

What a great start to the term! Year 4 students have been busy buzzing with lots of learning and laughter for the past 3 weeks.

In Mathematics, we have been delving into the exciting world of place value, addition, and subtraction. Our learning experience has been nothing short of fantastic, thanks to the practical tools that have made understanding these concepts a breeze.

In Science, we had a blast learning about the digestive system in humans. The highlight of our exploration was the opportunity to draw our own bodies and label the most important parts of the digestive system. It was truly delightful to discover that by eating a variety of healthy foods, we can provide our digestive system with the nutrients it needs to function correctly.

In Geography, we have been on a journey exploring the physical and human features found in East African countries. Armed with atlases, books, and internet resources, we have gathered a wealth of information about these geographical landmarks, broadening our horizons and expanding our knowledge.

Our learning journey continued with a captivating exploration of fantasy stories in our English lessons. Our minds were thoroughly enchanted as we dived into the pages of a warning tale called "Lost in the Colosseum."

These past weeks have been filled with exciting learning experiences, and we can't wait to see what the rest of the term has in store for us. Stay tuned for more adventures and discoveries as we continue to grow and thrive in Year 4!
