Year 4 Trip to Amani Forest

9th July 2023

Eight of our Year 4 students visited the Amani Nature Reserve for an epic residential trip. We had a lot of rain but that didn’t stop us from having an incredible time! The children were amazing and immersed themselves into the whole experience!

We visited a tea plantation and got to see the full process of how tea is produced which was really interesting, we also got to plant our own trees which was a beautiful experience. We walked a lot and went on a long 4 hour hike through the beautiful forest and got to see so many different types of plants, trees and flowers. We visited the German Bomas and learnt about the history of the research that has been conducted there too.

We enjoyed game nights in the evening, had two bonfires and even went on a night time chameleon spotting walk which was wonderful! Some of the children were brave enough to let the chameleon walk up their arm!

With memories that will last a lifetime, the children came back tired from all the activities but happy!
