Year 4 & 5 STEAM Activities

12th December 2023

Year 4: We had a blast intertwining Geography lessons with STEAM! Our initial project involved crafting physical and human features found in East Africa using recycled materials. The excitement soared as we delved into our next thrilling project—exploring the impacts of a volcanic eruption.

Year 5: We worked together as a class to create an alien planet, the home of the alien and then the alien itself. We split up into three groups. One group planned what the planet would be like including the suns, moons, climate, temperature, habitable living conditions and natural resources available on the planet. The second group planned the home of the alien including all the materials that the home would be made from and how it could be self sustaining and the third group created the alien itself, planning its physical and emotional features, family, food habits and made a speech that we then shared with the rest of the upper school at the showcase
