Year 3

26th November 2023

We are almost at the end of the term, with only two weeks left before the holidays. It’s a jolly time of the year and it is also time for Lower School Production, in which Year 3 students play the major role. All the children are excited about the upcoming performance and everyone is working hard during the rehearsals.

This week, Year 3 students went to visit the Hindu Temple (Shree Bhatia Maharajan). We were warmly welcomed by the team in the temple and had a fantastic experience to support our Religious Education topic about Diwali. The visit also helped to enhance the aspect of global citizenship and the ability to identify similarities across different religions in the world.

Last week, the children enjoyed Egyptian Day, which had a lot of fun activities to add to their understanding of ancient Egyptian culture, beliefs and art. The children practised wrapping a pretend mummy using toilet paper, which turned out to be quite a comical task. We cooked delicious fried dumplings, learnt to decode hieroglyphic messages and made Egyptian jewellery.
