It is only the second week of our final term in Year 2, but we were busy with lots of wonderful learning. What a buzzing week!
In Science, we enjoyed learning about animals and their habitats. We looked at different types of habitats such as grassland, desert, tropical rainforest, and ocean habitats. However, the most interesting part was learning about how many different habitats are around our school area and we thought about which creatures live in them.
In Mathematics, we enjoyed exploring volume and capacity through hands-on activities which helped us deepen our understanding of these measurement concepts.
Our learning journey continued with reading books about ‘The Great Fire of London’ in English lessons. We were very surprised to find out that all the information about this historical incident was recounted in ‘The Diary of Samuel Pepys.’ We cannot wait to write our own diary entries based on a person's point of view and Samuel Pepys seems to be the perfect person to start with.
