Year 2 has really enjoyed school spirit week, where we got silly and appreciated all the great things about being part of our wonderful school!

As part of our Science learning about materials the children were tasked with making a boat to get the gingerbread man safely across the river. What materials would work best in the water and most importantly not sink and get the gingerbread man all wet and soggy?? We tested our boats and one of them was successful. Well done!!
We loved reading with Year 5 and enjoying our wonderful garden. Reading is such an important skill and research shows that children who read have higher levels of mental wellbeing and happiness. We were certainly brimming with happiness this week in Year 2.
