Year 2

In Year 2 we have been linking Science and History by going back in time and noticing how we have changed throughout our lives. We had a cuteness overload when the baby and toddler photos came in- please enjoy these adorable pictures. How have the children of Year 2 changed since they were babies? Has anything stayed the same? We particularly enjoyed thinking about what we will be like when we are teenagers- ripped jeans, crop tops and smart phones featured heavily!

We have also been learning about the life cycles of other animals including the frog (amphibian), butterfly (insect) and a duck (bird). How do their life cycles differ from the human life cycle (mammal)? Is there anything similar?

Science is all around us, and noticing and talking about growth, change and development in all our lives and the nature around us is a great way to develop the minds of your children. Happy chatting and observing!
