Year 1 have had a full on and fantastic start to Term 3!
In Mathematics, the children have had their first taster of Multiplication and Division, learning how to count and share in groups. They understand the different operations and particularly like the action for division which they have added their own sound effects to!
We have also enjoyed learning about Paddington Bear with his big blue coat, red bucket hat and briefcase stashed with marmalade sandwiches! We went on to describe external and internal features of characters and wrote very funny, yet descriptive sentences to describe a monster.
The highlight of our week was our trip to Wet n Wild earlier this week. All the children were incredibly sensible and they also remembered the important rule of having lots of fun! We look forward to the upcoming weeks together completing the learning for this academic year and preparing the children for Year 2!
