Year 1

3rd February 2024

This half term, the Year One students have been actively exploring different parts of the world, investigating cold and hot regions in relation to the equator and poles. This ties into our geography focus on the UK. They've also been learning about various seasons and the associated weather.

In English, the students have enjoyed learning different sounds in phonics and have taken a step back in time to discover traditional fairy tales, including the classic story of Little Red Riding Hood.

In Math, they've been engaged in hands-on activities, learning about number bonds within 20 and comparing numbers within the same range.

Let's not forget the fun moments when our Year Ones read to each other and shared stories. It's been a rewarding half term, and we're excited for more learning adventures ahead.
