Year 1 have had a fabulous week! In PSHCE, we have been learning all about boundaries and personal space. We asked Teddy questions to see if we had consent to go ahead or not eg ‘Teddy is it okay if I give you a hug?’ ‘Teddy is it okay if I pass you to my friend?’ Teddy either said ‘yes’ or’ no thank you’ and then we knew whether it was okay for us to proceed or respect his decision not to be touched.
We loved Number Day and all the activities including bowling, making a mathematical star, secret sums and we ended the day with ‘Who Wants to be a Mathionaire Quiz!’
On Friday, we had our special assembly and shared our learning about the seasons and weather. We even brought in our own snow and rain to assembly!
