Sports

14th January 2025

Term 1 of this academic year was an exciting and successful one from the PE and Sports department. We focussed on football, athletics and swimming with plenty of fixtures and competitions being attended throughout the term. We saw our first ever handball fixtures taking place in the primary school and the secondary students attending the Moshi sports weekend for the first time. As always a big well done must go to the students who never fail to give their all in sessions, inter house events and inter school events.

Last term also saw the first whole school sports day where students from Year 1 all the way to Year 12 competed together and there was an amazing feeling of school spirit throughout the day. We all look forward to seeing what more our students can achieve as we begin another busy term of sport.

Key successes to highlight were almost all of our football teams making it to the knockout stages of their respective tournaments, Countless medals and PBs being achieved by our swimmers and an overall boost in the students' love and engagement in sport. A new Braeburn Award was introduced last term during inter house event to mark athletes who represent the core values of the school regardless of ability or success.
