Secondary Drama

Term 1 in music and drama focuses on the integration of these two art forms as we prepare to stage the secondary school musical production, "Blood Brothers." Students learn and consolidate their knowledge in performances, analysis, and genre study through the different songs in the musical. In Drama, students study the play as a classroom text, exploring character, themes, and the use of physical and voice skills, especially for the IGCSE class in Drama.
This week, KS3 students also had an opportunity to take part in some master classes of the 42nd Bagamoyo Arts Festival and were able to explore the musical connections between African drumming and percussion with music from northern India, as can be seen in the video.
