Year 7;
Students are currently researching and making studies of other artists artworks. They have been making a practical response to the artwork of any appropriate artwork of the following artists; Georges Seurat, Salvador Dali and Chuck Close. They have each compared and contrasted two pieces of artworks by answering some pre-prepared questions. Learners have developed a practical understanding of the work of others by selecting an artist to research. As part of their research, learners undertook a transcription of a piece of art by their chosen artist, analysing the artist’s use of colour, mark-making, materials and composition to gain insight into the formal elements and the way the image is constructed.
