Roots and Shoots: Nurturing Environmental Responsibility

In the spirit of Jane Goodall's Roots and Shoots initiative, our dedicated group has come together on multiple occasions to brainstorm fresh ideas aimed at promoting mindfulness within our community when it comes to disposing of litter responsibly. Recognizing the importance of sustainability, we've been diligently working to enhance our environmental efforts, building upon the success of last year's recycling bin system.

The group has convened on several occasions to deliberate new strategies for encouraging our community to adopt more responsible litter disposal habits. These discussions have borne fruit, resulting in the implementation of an efficient recycling bin system within the school. However, we are not content with resting on our laurels, and we remain committed to progressing even further.

One exciting development in our journey towards sustainability is the introduction of designated boxes in each form room. These boxes will serve as a focal point for encouraging pupils to actively participate in recycling efforts. Within these boxes, students will be encouraged to deposit paper materials for recycling, not only contributing to a greener future but also earning valuable house points in the process. It's a tangible way for our students to make a positive impact on our beloved planet.
