Primary Kiswahili

15th June 2024

Our students have been on an exciting Kiswahili learning journey this term!

Year 1 explored the names of objects in the sky, classroom, and household items, days of the week, counting and writing numbers up to 50, and we are now discovering the weather.

Year 2 delved into household and classroom items, naming and describing fruits and colours, counting and writing numbers in words, and are now discussing their daily routines.

Year 3 examined the uses of classroom and household items, verbs, and constructing short sentences with personal pronouns.

Year 4 focused on verbs, forming sentences in past, present, and future tense with personal pronouns, and learning opposite words.

Year 5 learned about adjectives, negative sentence forms in various tenses, and telling time in Kiswahili.

Year 6 studied fractions in Kiswahili, body organs, asking and giving directions, and are now practising reading and writing sentences and short paragraphs.

We encourage parents to continue practising speaking, listening, reading, and writing with the students at home.
