Peripatetic Music at Braeburn: It’s Never Too Late to Start Something New

10th June 2025

This term, the Peripatetic Music Programme at Braeburn has been alive with fresh energy, new beginnings, and inspiring progress. One of the most heartwarming things we’ve seen is just how many students have taken the brave step to try something new - and how rewarding that journey has been.

From Leon learning the bass for the very first time, to Jingjing diving into both piano and violin, and Laurence boldly exploring both guitar and drums, it’s been a joy to witness these musical firsts. Anita has started her journey on the guitar, and Aliko is balancing guitar lessons alongside continued progress in piano. Their enthusiasm and commitment show us that it’s never too late to begin something meaningful.

But it’s not just the new learners we’re celebrating. Several returning students have developed fresh practicing habits and made incredible progress - some even preparing for ABRSM exams, and others taking their playing to the next level. Their growth this term reminds us that consistency and passion truly pay off.

To celebrate all these achievements, we warmly invite the Braeburn community to our annual Music Showcase at the Little Theater on Saturday, 14th June at 3:00 PM. This special event will feature performances by our students, showcasing what they’ve been working on this term - from solo pieces to ensemble work and more.

Come and be inspired by the talent, dedication, and diversity of our young musicians. Let’s celebrate the courage it takes to start, the discipline it takes to grow, and the joy of making music together.
