P.E. THIS TERM

12th October 2024

P.E.

This week has been a busy and active week in the PE and sports department. We have continued with our swimming lessons alongside football and athletics programmes during PE. In the pool we have been tackling the rules of water polo as well as ensuring our survival skills are all up to date. Skulling, towing and rescues have all been covered in a range of fun and interactive sessions. During PE we have been building towards our inter house football and exploring the range of field events on offer in athletics.

Last weekend Miss Hanlon took a group of 14 swimmers to a swimming gala in Morogoro where they competed across 2 days of competition. The bulk of our swimmers came from the primary part of the school and they all represented themselves and the school extremely well. Almost every student gained personal best times in various events and should all be very proud of their efforts.

Thursday saw our inter house football competition take place in the morning and it was super to see every student in primary out on the field giving their best for their house in a number of games and challenges. Congratulations to Simba who emerged as the victors throughout the day and a special shout out to our MVPs who were Johannes, Janel, Aya and Moriah. It was a pleasure to see all of our pupils demonstrating good sporting conduct and doing their best for their houses.

The PE department would like to wish all of the students a restful yet active half term holiday and we look forward to welcoming you all back for another action packed half term filled with sport.
