Curved Graph drawing from equations

Year seven students have been studying straight line graphs in their mathematics lessons. They draw a table of values then they use the equation to complete the table. They can then plot their points on a coordinate grid and join them up to make a straight-line graph.

Because they were so good at this, they were challenged to draw curved graphs from quadratic and cubic equations, which is much more difficult, especially when using negative numbers.

Here are two examples of excellent curved graphs drawn by Bella and Ashley and you can also see the girls working hard with Isabelle and Anita.
