Interact Club

29th June 2025

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” — Aesop

This quote embodies our mission as the Earlyact/Interact Club to serve with heart and purpose.

Our Earlyact/Interact Club students have been working tirelessly this term to raise awareness and support for Under the Same Sun, a local organisation championing the rights and needs of people with albinism.

Last week, we marked Albinism Awareness Day with a Free Dress Day and a Bake Sale, raising Tsh 190,000! This week’s Sponsored Swim encouraged students not only to raise awareness but also to take on a physical challenge, symbolically reflecting some of the daily struggles faced by people with albinism. Donations are still coming in!

We are also incredibly proud to announce that our students were honoured with Certificates of Excellence from Rotary District 9214 (Tanzania and Uganda) in recognition of their outstanding leadership in initiating and implementing community projects. In celebration of their achievements, Rotary Bahari hosted a joyful celebration to thank our students for their passion and dedication.

Next week, we wrap up our campaign with a fun (and slightly messy!) ‘Pie a Teacher’ event. We can’t wait to share the total funds raised, which will go towards purchasing protective sleeves for our friends at Under the Same Sun.

Thank you for supporting our students as they grow in compassion, courage, and service!
