French is progressing well in the Primary department. Students are becoming increasingly confident with French pronunciation, now able to sing nursery rhymes and greet others in French. They have explored colours through various activities, including short videos and stories, as well as a variety of bilingual readers on tropical fruit and jungle animals. They are soon engaging in Halloween activities and continuing to discover the adventures of Babar in the younger years.
In Years 5 and 6, students are making significant progress by mastering spelling their names in French and focusing on writing skills. They can also say the date perfectly and fluently, and they are enjoying the cultural elements of the adventures of Tintin. This year, Year 6 students are participating in a much more structured programme.
Overall, this term has been very successful, and there is a notable enthusiasm among the students.
