French

29th October 2023

French is coming on very nicely in the Primary department! The children are getting more and more confident with the sounds of the French pronunciation and are now able to sing confidently French nursery rhymes and greet people. We have also learned about shapes and colours and practised through an array of activities including short video clips and stories. We also read the adventures of Jake and Bof, his dragon pet, all in French now!

Years 5 and 6 are making very good progress as we are moving on to using more complex linguistic and cultural material; they are now able to access quite sophisticated audio and video contents, including working on French songs in the current charts.

Overall it has been an excellent term so far and I am very pleased with the children's enthusiasm.
