English

11th February 2023

We have had a very intriguing first half of the term. Each year group has enjoyed exploring different authors ranging from William Shakespeare and Chimamanda Adichie in Key Stage 4 and Benjamin Zephaniah, David Almond and Rodman Philbrick in Key Stage 3. Each of the students, working at their own pace and level, has analysed texts and engaged in extensive reading.

We recently had the spelling bee competition, and while Twiga emerged as the winning house, all the students worked really hard to improve their spelling.

This week the year 7s came up with robotic designs which they pitched before their classmates. They drew their ideal robots and used persuasive skills to convince their classmates to vote for them.
