2nd November 2024
During midterm break, on Sunday October 20th, Rotary Bahari Beach organised an End Polio Walk to raise awareness of polio, a vaccine preventable disease, as well as raise funds for polio vaccines in partnership with the World Health Organisation. Some of our brave students embodied our ethos of global citizenship by showing up during their holiday to walk/run a little over 5 kilometres alongside fellow Rotarians, Rotaractors and Interactors from other schools.
To raise further funds, on Tuesday November 5th, students in primary will be dressing up in purple as a symbol for the purple dye used to mark the finger of a child to indicate they have received their life saving oral polio vaccine. On Thursday November 14th, students in secondary will also get the opportunity to wear purple.
Let's support this noteworthy cause. Students can bring in a minimum of 2,000/- on the above dates. All funds raised will go towards the End Polio Fund in partnership with Rotary Club. With your help, we can end polio for good.
