Our Earlyactors and Interactors have been very busy in their roles as responsible, global citizens. This half term, they ran a Daftari Drive, and in the last few weeks, organised two dress up days in Primary and Secondary respectively to fundraise for polio vaccines in partnership with Rotary Club and the World Health Organisation. They also planned and ran a balloon pop stall during our annual Festival of Lights for this noteworthy cause. Our students raised a total of 205,500!
They also received a visit from Rotary Bahari Club's President Murtaza Versi who visited our school last Tuesday to encourage and commend our students on their good work and to present Braeburn Dar with a certificate of registration that recognises our school as an official Interact club in Dar.
Finally, our students counted and organised a total of 1,576 exercise books and a few hundred pens and pencils for our local partner school, Salasala Primary School. We are amazed at the students' passion for community work and as a club, we look forward to delivering these donations to Salasala next week.
