Early Years

28th March 2024

What an amazing term we have had in Early Years.

Our Creche children have been growing into confident individuals and now know the daily routine and look forward to seeing each other. They have been learning about animals and their body and have become strong movers working on their gross motor skills.

FS1 have been building on their vocabulary and learning how to speak with confidence. They have enjoyed a range of activities honing their listening skills and encouraging turn taking. There has been lots of dressing up like princesses and kings and the role play corner has been a hive of activity.

FS2 have been working hard on their phonics and maths skills and there are some impressive reading and writing skills now on show. This was evident in our Big Write Week where the children created a story about a magic bus.The creative area has been overflowing with painting, glitter, sticking and cutting and the creations have been beautiful.

All the children have enjoyed having their parents in school for Stay and Play, taken part in Football Fun and went on a trip to Barra Beach Play Park. I wonder what Term 3 has in store?
