Community Service

26th November 2023

Hello Braeburn Community,

As we ponder our accomplishments this term, the Community Service and Primary Echo clubs have made a significant impact in the last half term through their visit to Salasala Primary School. Witnessing the challenges faced by the approximately 2400 students attending the school was truly enlightening and has ignited our drive to effect positive change.

The school grapples with several challenges, including a leaky roof patched with sandbags, uneven grounds featuring perilous stairs and holes, and the absence of cleaning staff. The students shoulder the responsibility of maintaining the school's cleanliness, and crucial amenities like a library and perimeter fence are non-existent.

In response to these pressing issues, the Secondary Community Service and Primary Echo Club have launched a fundraising campaign. While successful efforts like bake sales, charity stalls on bonfire night, and non-uniform days have been made, more support is required. Your contributions, irrespective of size, will make a concrete difference. 100% of the proceeds will directly finance projects undertaken by our clubs. Let's join hands to offer these children a safer and more conducive learning environment.

Thank you for your engagement in this noble cause. Together, we can leave a lasting impact on these children's lives and contribute to a brighter future.

Best regards,

Community Service Club
