Business Studies

4th December 2023

As we enter into the final week of this term, the Business department would like to appreciate the amazing

accomplishments of our business cohort.

In Year 10, the focus for this term has been the organisation and management of human resources. The

students delved deeper into this by conducting interviews with teaching and administration staff at Braeburn

Dar Es Salaam and came up with the organisational structure that prevails at this campus. They took a closer

look at what people management is, how it supports teams and the skills that make up effective people

management.

Our Year 11 students have been studying all about operations management this term. They studied in depth

the business practices that create the highest level of efficiency possible within an organisation. They are now

experts at how to manage functions that a business needs to run effectively on a day-to-day basis.

Field trip is an integral part of the teaching and learning process. The students had the privilege of visiting

ABSA Bank. The students were great ambassadors of the Braeburn school, they showed a great deal of

gratitude and pleasure towards the staff members, asked great questions and came back with a lot of

information which they don’t get exposure to on a daily basis.
