At Braeburn Dar es Salaam International School, our BTEC Business students continue to impress with their ingenuity and dedication. Recently, as part of Unit 16: Visual Merchandising, our talented learners took on the exciting challenge of designing and creating floor plans for retail spaces, using industry-relevant techniques.
The students demonstrated remarkable creativity and attention to detail, applying theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios. Each student meticulously planned layouts, wrote reports, considered customer behaviour patterns, and utilised strategic product placement to maximise aesthetic appeal and functionality.
Their hard work culminated in a vibrant display of innovative retail concepts that were as professional as they were eye-catching. The activity not only honed their skills in design and planning but also provided them with valuable experience in justifying their creative decisions — a crucial skill in the competitive business world.
Such projects reflect the core of what BTEC stands for: a hands-on, real-world approach to learning that prepares students for the future. It’s clear that our students are not just learning about business; they’re shaping the future of it.
Congratulations to our BTEC students for their outstanding efforts! We’re proud to see our learners embodying the school’s vision of creativity, critical thinking, and excellence in all they do.
Keep an eye on their next big projects — we can’t wait to see what they’ll achieve next!
