Business Studies

24th April 2023

Year 10 Business Studies students have launched the first-ever School Tuck Shop enterprise. This is a real unincorporated financial entity with seed funding provided by the school. Initial planning commenced last term with the first board meeting taking place and Angelique Onyango duly elected as the Project lead. Other Directorial appointments include Eda Jonia Makene and Andrela Muga as Assistants to the Project lead, Abraham Kimaro as the Marketing lead and Gloria Mshiu and Gladys Mrema as our Accountants.

Students did a thorough survey into deciding on product choices, pricing and customer services and although a lot of hard work has gone into this, the students are constantly adding varieties and changing the original menu to meet customer demands.

This is a for-profit enterprise with the initial objective of repaying the primary investor and creating of equity.

Please see attached our menu for next week - we look forward to serving many more customers on Monday morning!
