Braeburn Sharks

6th November 2023

The Sharks have had a fantastic start to the year. They are training hard and making excellent progress. We recently attended the first major gala of the season at MIS in Morogoro. Our swimmers put on a fantastic performance with personal best times for all swimmers in at least two events each. We were one of the smallest teams in attendance and still managed to place 5th overall. Special mention to Karlpeter, who placed third in breaststroke, Asante Motcho, who also placed third in breaststroke, to Aisia Kirei for taking on the 200m Freestyle for the first time, and to Zawadi Treacher, who competed in the 100m Backstroke at just 6 years old. We also had two relay teams who placed, one second and one third. The team that placed second was competing in the 15 and over category, with our youngest swimmer being just 9 years old in that team. I am very proud of all our swimmers and am excited for the rest of the season. Our younger swimmers in the Crocs team are also making excellent progress on Saturday mornings, developing their skills and showing that we have some great prospects for the future. Well done to all of our swimmers.
