Year 7; Students have been learning about mark making techniques and visual elements of art and design like lines, texture, shape, positive and negative spaces, and overlaying in still life drawing.

Year 8; Students have been exploring different ideas and media in making their own pop art style artworks. They have also been looking at Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein who are the two most famous artists of this movement.

Year 9; Learners have been exploring religious art and the art nouveau movement. Art Nouveau artists, inspired by plant forms and nature, took organic subjects and flattened and abstracted them into sophisticated, sinuous and flowing motifs.

Year 10; Students are working on a mock IGCSE paper 2 project. They have all elected to work on one theme, “Changing Times’. The objective is to have an understanding of all the four assessment objectives by the end of the project.

Year 11 Art; Students are working on their individual IGCSE Art & Design Coursework projects. They are exploring a number of themes like Identity, distortion and bad habits. They are presently working on their initial studies.

Year 11 DT; Students are working on their IGCSE DT component 2 project. They are all doing the graphics products option where they have different architectural modelling tasks like designing a school, library or a football stadium. The learners have already identified their needs and established design briefs. They have also researched the design brief and developed their specifications. They will be moving on to generating and exploring their design ideas.
