Physical Education

4th May 2024

Week 3 has seen the primary classes working hard and making great progress in the new sports that we are covering this term. KS2 have been developing skills in Touch Rugby and Rounders through multiple games and drills. KS1 have been introduced to football this week to help them prepare for a more sport specific program next year.

In the pool the pupil’s hard work continues as we look to develop and stretch each and every one of our students.

Many of the primary swimmers were involved in a swimming gala on Saturday at Milestone where Braeburn performed superbly as a team and came away with the overall trophy to go alongside an array of individual medals. This term will see a busy swimming calendar with lots of Galas and opportunities to compete with other schools.

Years 5 and 6 impressed me this week during their first touch rugby lesson where lots good handling ability and spatial awareness were on show.

Years 3 and 4 have been superb in the pool this week with lots of hard work going into their front crawl technique.

Years 1 and 2 have been a delight to teach this week as they have got started on football with lots of effort and good listening.

The PE team is proud of the commitment and dedication of our wonderful students and we look forward to seeing continued achievements in the coming weeks.
