Early Years participated in Big Write Week last week. They used lots of stimulus to do mark making and writing about a magic bus and where it might go.
On Tuesday Early Years set off on an exciting adventure to Barra Beach Play Park where they climbed, swung, slid, jumped and balanced on the amazing play equipment. There was some great physical development, risk taking and confidence building in action!
On returning to school the children then recounted their trip and FS2 created an adventure story of their own. The story had to have a beginning, middle (with a problem), and ending. I was impressed with the different ideas including volcanoes, jungles, superheroes, snowy mountains and even aliens! The children then used their phonics knowledge to write and illustrate their stories. What a fantastic week!
