Early Years

11th March 2024

What a busy term Creche has been having.

They spent time exploring the book ‘Dear Zoo’ where they learnt the names of lots of animals and could use words or actions to describe them such as ‘grumpy, tall, scary’. There was lots of fun with the toy snakes as children chased each other around whilst hissing!

Most recently Creche have been learning about their bodies and are able to name and point to various body parts. They have been using their bodies in different ways; to paint with, learning movement patterns, enjoying fine motor skills with their hands and using their ears to play listening games. Next week they will be learning how to use a toothbrush to take care of their teeth.

Baby Club has been taking place every Friday and it has been a pleasure to welcome our youngest members of the Braeburn family for playtime with the Creche class. There has been lots of sharing toys and social skills in action.

We look forward to our first school trip next week!
